Christmas decorations & stocking fillers |
We have a big range of really reasonably priced bike accessories and cycle clothing that would make fantastic gifts for the cycling enthusiasts in your life (or, a nice treat for yourself!)
Our crafty volunteers have also created some wonderful Christmas tree decorations from bike parts. This year as well as the popular chain star (£4), we have spoke Christmas trees (£2), so why not pop by and pick one up for your Christmas tree? All proceeds going to support the Hub’s mission to help make cycling easier, more affordable and more fun for all.

Ladden Garden Village Christmas Market! |
We were excited to be part of Ladden Garden Village Christmas Market on 29th November, where we also hosted our penultimate Dr Bike (sponsored by LiveWest) session of the year. Our qualified mechanic checked over people’s bikes to make sure they were road-worthy and we also enjoyed getting crafty, making festive straw stars with the many children that came along. Everyone enjoyed guessing which bike parts we had repurposed into Christmas tree decorations too. We were particularly star-struck when Santa said hello and was almost persuaded to upgrade his sleigh team to a Brompton! |

Rebecca’s pick – The Contour Road Book of England, 1904
I’m a sucker for old books and these historic route guides are a lovely insight into cycling in Britain 100 years ago. As well as placename pronunciation guides, the pithy notes on each section are also often amusingly scathing ”Manufacturing district at both ends dreary moorland in between”. A perfect, pocket-sized browsing book. |
